Snare Drums
Every drummer knows the snare drum is the heart of a drum set. Finding the right sound for the snare is crucial to giving each song its distinctiveness. Having a snare drum that is responsive to the drummer and their many demands is the hallmark of any great snare drum.

Frank Wolf "Two to One" Concept Snare Drums
Frank Wolf was a drummer, builder and retailer in New York City, circa 1920's. His concept snare envisioned a top head which would be tuned a third above the bottom head (possibly to offset the issues with top calf heads becoming less taut as the evening progressed). The effect of snare, however, provides a crisp, responsive snare that is a joy to play behind the drum set and in an orchestral setting.
Merrill Custom Drums is proud to reintroduce this concept snare to a new generation of drummers.
These snare drums are offered at customer's preferred depth. Stock drums come with 8/8 maple shells, S Hoops, Trick snare strainers, Aquarian drum heads, Canopus snare wires, and drummer's choice of lugs.
